FLORA AND ‘FORNA’
After numerous drawings in my sketchbook of ‘lady bits’, each little maquette started to become more and more abstract with ribbons accentuating the folds and curves; each one beginning to look more like tulip heads than vaginas, hence the title link to flowers [flora] and 'forna' [as in fornication]...a play on words and a twist in nature!
The ribbons deliberately look like calligraphy as if telling a story about each maquette’s experience!
