Much of Lindi’s time is spent painting tastefully provocative, sensual nudes and landscapes in her specialism of dry-brush acrylic – literally no water; however she has been recognised for her very unique style of sophisticated erotica illustrations consisting of “erotica in nature using pointillism” in-which some of them feature her own middle fingerprint, specifically, plus other objects!

Humour and curiosity play a big part in Lindi's creativity; her artistic muse is to provoke the viewer enough to lose themselves in what they see and perhaps question what they observe in the work.

These delicate paintings, executed in 0.1 and 0.2 fine-line pen are infectiously collectable to the erotica audience because of their edgy, earthy, back to nature quirkiness, but above all, they are different and bring a sense of fascination and a smile to the onlooker.

INSPIRED by a private commission based on my client wanting his life-sized genitals subtly ‘hidden in a tree’ in pen and wash; he wanted to know his parts were there, but a visitor to his home might not see it in the work; I went on to develop this series of EROTICA, IN NATURE, USING POINTILLISM;

In some of the paintings, I have painted small ‘teasy’ objects within the land or hanging from the branches, eg: a red stiletto, a set of pink fluffy handcuffs, a mask or INTRIGUINGLY my own MIDDLE FINGER PRINT in red which is rather like a trademark.

I don’t pencil sketch these out first, they just evolve from good planning in my head. My confident use of lines and dots creates a sense of depth, shape, tone and distortion, enabling the viewer to search for where the next line or dot may lead. Most of this work is deliberately ROTATIONAL or is WORTHY OF BEING TILTED in order to ‘find something else’, from a flaccid penis tree root to a strong erect trunk; with plump fleshy vulvas to leaf-like pubic mounds; voluptuous breasts and torsos surrounded by sperm-like grasses within the branches. The work is tasteful, delicate, even ‘pretty’ and makes one smile; is so subtle that one has to really look to find ‘PROVOCATIVE EROTICA’ in the landscape. The more one looks and studies, the more one sees! Admittedly they could possibly be CONTROVERSIAL pieces, depending on one’s views on several issues, from SEX, BODY IMAGE, PROMISCUITY, CHILDBIRTH, MEN, WOMEN, PROMISCUITY, FRIGIDITY...LIFE.

This work is “EDGY, QUIRKY, EARTHY, BACK TO NATURE, VERY DIFFERENT and most definitely of EROTIC GENRE”, but above all, they bring a sense of fascination and a smile to the onlooker. This IS my intention.
