  • Here we have an and example of the life-model changing her pose/position three times within a 20 minute period.
I've called this charcoal study 'Let's Dance' as I love her the way her fluid movement overlaps.
    This is not for sale.

THIS ARTWORK IS FEATURED IN DORLING KINDERSLEY'S SERIES OF ART BOOKS, 2006.

There is A LOT of work and preparation involved with this work and reflects in the price.

After preparing my hand-dyed fabrics and hand-waxed papers, I then drip glass paints down clear acetate and prepare my 'barcodes' by twisting and wrapping torn fabrics, brown paper, photographic film-strips, etc.

When the glass paints have dried, I then proceed to lay it on top of the fabric, and then I stich all my gorgeous little 'barcodes' in place with some very colourful thread, sometimes metallic threads to catch the light. I have incorporated some printing in this work also.

These are unique pieces...never two the same.
