Keep Moving
- Mono Print
- A1
- unframed
- 9 Mono Prints of the same model changing her position every ten seconds! I had to draw her 'blind' due to her constant movement and it's surprising how accurate one can be with a bit of practice!
THIS ARTWORK IS FEATURED IN DORLING KINDERSLEY'S SERIES OF ART BOOKS, 2006.
There is A LOT of work and preparation involved with this work and reflects in the price.
After preparing my hand-dyed fabrics and hand-waxed papers, I then drip glass paints down clear acetate and prepare my 'barcodes' by twisting and wrapping torn fabrics, brown paper, photographic film-strips, etc.
When the glass paints have dried, I then proceed to lay it on top of the fabric, and then I stich all my gorgeous little 'barcodes' in place with some very colourful thread, sometimes metallic threads to catch the light. I have incorporated some printing in this work also.
These are unique pieces...never two the same.
