I think you'll agree that this unusual sized Loxley boxed canvas is an exciting shape and could be hung horizontally over a door archway or it could be hung vertically...the choice is yours!!
I prepared the base/ground of diluted orange acrylic ink and drizzled seasalt over it, which I left to dry, This resulted in a beautiful randomly patchy surface on which I could then work on my leaves. The leaves are outlined with red 'relief'.
All four side have been painted in exactly the same way so whichever angle you look at the painting, it still pleases the eye, and it has a slight shimmer of gloss varnish.
If you were interested in having a few of the paintings together, maybe in different tones/colours, they could look very striking indeed. Each one is unique!
