A UNIQUE PAINTING...NEVER TO BE REPEATED.
This canvas is on a large scale (30" x 40" Loxley Boxed Canvas) with lots of lil ol' men's faces scratched into the textured surface. I wanted to show that in today's society, we're all living a lot longer; so showing these old guys overlapping is my way of expressing this.
I have incorporated some Calligraphy...deliberately obscured on the side view...the words by Abraham Lincoln read, "And in the end it's not years in your life, it's the life in your years!" Quite poignant to us all, I feel.
I have painted round all the sides in a deep burgundy and as with all my original paintings, applied two coats of quality Artist varnish. I also offer a Certificate of Authenticity with this painting.
